01

Bruno Liljefors' island

Liljefors bought Bullerö in 1908 and built his hunting lodge and studio the following year. It became a meeting place for cultural figures and now presents the island's nature, past life and artistic circle.

02

The Baltic's first Swedish marine national park

Nämdöskärgården National Park protects around a thousand islands and skerries, with sea making up 97 per cent of its area. Bullerö is the main entrance with some accessible facilities, while other islands are more demanding.

03

A destination on nature's terms

Here, the weather plan is not an extra but the foundation. Limited services, exposed water and conservation values require careful decisions on group size, provisions, equipment and alternatives.

Inspiration – not a standard route

Bullerö lies far out and access is governed by weather and wind. It should not be offered as a normal Gaia destination from Strandvägen; any special plan requires full nautical preparation and current local landing information.
